Karamjeet Madonna has been a part of several prestigious reality TV shows and television series, showcasing her immense talent in dance, acting, and music from a young age. Her journey through the world of television began early, and she quickly made a name for herself with her grace, dedication, and versatility.
In 2010, she participated in Chak Dhoom Dhoom on Colors TV, where she made it to the Top 24 contestants. Her audition video gained massive popularity. Her unique talent and dedication were highlighted through a special segment featuring her and her mother, making her journey even more inspiring. The show was judged by legendary choreographers Saroj Khan, Ahmed Khan, and Vindu Dara Singh. After being selected in the auditions, Karamjeet was invited to Mumbai, where she underwent a month-long intensive training under the renowned choreographer duo Bosco-Caesar.
Her reality TV journey continued in 2012 with Mele Ka Big Star – Season 2 on Big Magic Channel, where she reached the grand finale. The show was judged by Ashok Masti and Malini Awasthi. Malini Awasthi was particularly impressed by Karamjeet’s classical dance skills at such a young age. She praised her, saying that at just 12 years old, Karamjeet displayed the grace and expressive nuances of a seasoned artist. Her appreciation and admiration were a testament to Karamjeet’s extraordinary talent.
In 2007, she was a finalist in Just The Best on Just TV Punjabi, a competition that tested not just dance skills but also acting and general knowledge. Karamjeet performed exceptionally well, proving her versatility and ability to stand out in multiple artistic fields.
Another major milestone in her career came in 2008 when she participated in Kaun Hoga No. 1, a national dance competition, and emerged as the winner. Competing against some of the best young dancers from across India, she claimed the title, solidifying her status as a prodigious talent in classical and contemporary dance.
Her winning streak continued in 2011 when she was crowned Punjab Kesari Little Star. This prestigious title was awarded based on excellence across multiple domains, including dance, modeling, singing, and overall talent. The competition, held on a massive scale, had only one winner, and Karamjeet was honored with a crown presented by Ekta Kapoor. The event was graced by celebrities like Raveena Tandon, Daler Mehndi, Jaswinder Jassi, Malkit Singh, and Shahnawaz Hussain. Along with the title, she also won a cash prize of ₹1 lakh. Karamjeet’s performance wasn’t limited to dance—she also showcased her singing talent in the competition, proving her artistic versatility and earning admiration from the judges and audience alike.
Apart from reality shows, Karamjeet has also been featured in television serials since her childhood. She was a part of the famous Doordarshan show Kyuki Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, where she appeared in the segment 'Amma Ji Kehati Hai'. This segment aimed to spread awareness about disaster preparedness and natural calamities.
Additionally, she played the lead role in Naazish, an Urdu television series directed by Shahid Waheed Khan. The story revolved around a young girl from a conservative Muslim family who dreamed of becoming a dancer. Despite her family’s disapproval, her talent and passion helped her rise to success, eventually winning awards and gaining the support of her mother. Karamjeet’s portrayal of Naazish was deeply emotional and inspiring, resonating with many viewers.
Through her numerous appearances in reality shows and television series, Karamjeet Madonna has established herself as a multi-talented artist with a remarkable journey.
