Karamjeet Madonna was born on 18 September 2000 in a Punjabi-Hindu family in New Delhi, India. Her father is a private-job employee and her mother is a homemaker. She has one elder brother.
She started performing when she was 3, participating and winning various talent hunts and competitions. While still in school, she started dancing in Chowkis & Jagrans (Hindu rituals) at local temples and events.
She also learnt Hindustani classical music, vocals and tabla. She is a graduate of Delhi University. Madonna is an accomplished dancer. She was first trained as a child by her mother and later, aged five, came under the tutelage of the Kathak Maestro Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj
