Madonna worked as a Junior Artist in several Bollywood movies, Aisha, Delhi 6, Teree Sang, and It’s My Life ! as a child. She was also featured in numerous music videos and albums. She participated and won various talent-hunts, competitions, contests and TV shows, like Kaun Hoga No. 1 (2008)[3] for DD Urdu, and Just The Best (2008) on JustTV Punjabi, which was a dance-general knowledge-acting show, and was also featured in Kyuki..Jeena Issi Ka Naam Hai- Ammaji Kehti hain on Doordarshan.

In 2010, she participated in Colors TV’s reality show, Chak Dhoom Dhoom and was shortlisted in the audition by the judges Saroj Khan, Ahmed Khan and Vindu Dara Singh and was called to Mumbai to get intense training under Bosco–Caesar.

In 2011, Madonna won the Punjab Kesari Little Star title[4]. She received the award from Ashwini Kumar Chopra and Kiran Chopra.[4][5] The event was also attended by Ekta Kapoor, Daler Mehandi, Jasbir Jassi, Malkit Singh, Rajeev Shukla, Shahnawaz Hussain, Congress MP Janardan Dwivedi, Vidya Balan, Raveena Tandon and Kiran Bedi.[4]

In 2012, she was a contestant in a reality TV show, Mele Ka Big Star- Season 2 on Big Magic channel, judged by Malini Awasthi and Ashok Masti, making her way to the Semi Finale.

Madonna continued performing in live shows, theatre-plays, dance-drama festivals and events in various parts of India.[6][7] She was seen in a music video, Yeh Tune Kya Kiya labelled Zee Music Company.[8] In 2020, she started performing the lead roles in Zangoora- the Gypsy Prince, a bollywood musical in Kingdom of Dreams.

Early Life

Karamjeet Madonna was born on 18 September 2000 in a Punjabi-Hindu family in New Delhi, India. Her father is a private-job employee and her mother is a homemaker. She has one elder brother.

She started performing when she was 3, participating and winning various talent hunts and competitions. While still in school, she started dancing in Chowkis & Jagrans (Hindu rituals) at local temples and events. She also learnt Hindustani classical music, vocals and tabla. She is a graduate of Delhi University. Madonna is an accomplished dancer. She was first trained as a child by her mother and later, aged five, came under the tutelage of the Kathak Maestro Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj.[2]

Karamjeet Madonna (born 18 September 2000) is an Indian actress, dancer, singer and YouTuber. She has worked in music video for Zee Music Company, ‘Ye Tune Kya Kiya’ and playing the lead in Zangoora – The Gypsy Prince[1], a Bollywood Musical, in Kingdom of Dreams, Gurgaon.

Madonna is a trained Kathak dancer, disciple of Padma Vibhushan Birju Maharaj also, a Visharad student in Hindustani classical music in Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She has been performing since a very young age. She is a theatre actor, an alumna of Sunday Club Part-1,2,3, a theatre programme for children by T.I.E. Co., National School of Drama, has participated in various festivals like Bharat Rang Mahotsav, Bal Sangam, JashneBachpan 2014, 2016, 2018, Jashn-e-Rekhta, Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Vimal Yatra, Sahitya Kala Parishad’s Mohan Rakesh Tribute, Janmashtami Utsava, Vijayadashami, and Vasantotsava. She was a student of Children Theatre Workshop, Shri Ram Centre (2013). Madonna has been a part of quite many reality TV Shows for Colors, Big Magic Channel, Doordarshan and Just TV Punjabi.
